Fleas!!

88| Gross!
Memorial weekend when I took Cynthia to the vet for her urinary issue I discovered she was infested with fleas. Now my pets have always been largely flea free but Cynthia had been going outside again and I had been lax about dropping her and the dogs when the weather warmed up. I feel like the worst mommy ever!! I dropped all three pets a couple days after Memorial day. Saturday night I discovered Cynthia is still infested! :'( Sunday we purchased flea spray and shampoo and everyone got a bath. Poor babies
I only found 2 adults on Maggie and 1 on Sissy so let's hope it's not rampant. They must get dropped again in a couple days though. Meanwhile it's full scale war at home!
I found this site: www.stopthefleas.com with some great tips on eradicating fleas from your home.
My focus is going to be treating the yard and going over the furniture. Yesterday we washed all the bedding in the hottest water available in my washer. We have no carpeting so that is a plus but by no means a free pass for us.
I called Pro Meris and they gave me some advice about controlling the infestation so it doesn't take over the house. I am so skeeved out! Anyway daily vacuuming of floors and furniture is half the battle when you are treating your house and pets.
Searching for info on treating furniture and the interior in general I found this site:
I was pretty impressed with their products so I ordered the spray for the house and the yard treatment. They also sell Frontline, FrontlinePlus? and some other pet drops so I ordered a supply of them as well. I spent $200.00 but that's not unreasonable considering I got multiple dose of the drops and enough spray cans to literally treat every square foot of my house. :D
Now I have never seen a flea anywhere but on the cat or on the dogs but I'm not taking ANY chances. The yard spray kills a host of insects including ticks so it should be well worth the money. If it gets rid of the Japanese Beetles I'll pay double!!
Now some fun pics of Cynthia at bath time. LMAO Really for such a willful, vindictive, spiteful, cranky cat she took her bath amazingly well. She didn't bite or scratch even once and really only make a couple attempts to escape and this was a very lengthy bath. So much personality it's impossible not to love her inspite of her snootiness.
You two suck:

Why am I being tortured:

I'm not talking to you:

Seriously, I don't want to talk to you:

You are dead to me:

My lovely fur will take weeks to groom properly:
