308 more dogs seized in Washington raid
By admin on Jan 25, 2009 | In In the News
I am not affiliated with the rescue of these dogs. I am not in Washington state. I do not have any additional information to offer anyone regarding the adoption of these dogs. All the information I have is posted here on my blog posts. I am simply reposting this information in an effort to help. I can't help you beyond what I have already posted.
Gold Bar Raid: 155 dogs seized alive, 3 puppies born since raid (that have been reported)
1st Mt Vernon Raid: 170 dogs seized
2nd Mt Vernon Raid: 308 seized (this just happened!!)
Total Saved as of 1/23/09: 636 dogs
I truly believe that this is just the tip of the iceberg.
The first batch were dogs that belonged to Renee Roske (Wags 'n Wiggles) that she moved to her mother's house during a midnight escapade. Renee's mom is Marjorie Sundberg, the rest that were seized today belonged to her. According to news reports Marjorie sold her dogs through Renee's business.

308 more dogs seized from alleged puppy mill

MOUNT VERNON, Wash. – Another 308 dogs were seized in Skagit County Friday as part of an investigation into an alleged puppy mill.
The animals had been left behind during a seizure on Thursday at a home in the 16000 block of Mountain View Road.
Several have tested positive for a potentially deadly intestinal disorder called coccidia. Coccidia can manifest itself in the stomach and intestines of puppies and older dogs that suffer from a compromised immune system.
The dogs are being moved to the Skagit Valley Fairgrounds for treatment. Then they will be moved to shelters and foster homes.
In all, 443 dogs have been taken from the Skagit County home.
