Wow there are some stupid people in the world

I recently received a comment in reply to my post about a bill to ban puppy mills. It was obviously from someone who profits from the mass breeding of dogs for profit. Someone who is worried their steady flow of blood money is going to come to a stop because people are becoming more aware of what is TRULY going on behind the scenes in these for profit operations.
This is the line of bullshit they are apparently trying to pass off as justification for the continued abuse and mass euthanizing of pets: In 10 years there won't be any dogs in the U.S.
I really am blown away by the level of greed and deceit that is the life blood of the commercial breeding industry. They care nothing for the animals or their future. They care nothing about life, about right and wrong. They care about MONEY. Pure and simple. Even those people who on the internet with their cute little tea cup puppies. They don't give a shit about those dogs. They are con artists at their finest, comforting you with cute pictures so you can feel good about buying a puppy from someone who is only looking to make a buck off an innocent animal.
First of all the idea that banning puppy mills would cause the U.S. to suddenly be dogless in 10 years is preposterous! In the next hour over 750 and by the end of the day over 13,000 dogs in the United States will have been euthanized. Not all of those dogs are from puppy mills. These are dogs in shelters. Puppy millers don't take their unwanted (unable to produce puppies anymore) to a shelter or a vet. They sell them off to someone else hoping to con them or they sell them to a research lab for further pain and suffering as a test subject. And finally if they can't find one last way to squeak a penny out of the life of an innocent animal, they simply kill them. Trust me when I tell you they are not using any 'humane' method to kill these dogs either. The dogs in shelters are dogs that were purchased from breeders as pups or dogs that were born 'by accident' because owners are not responsible about spaying and neutering their pets. Then we have the backyard breeders who think they can make a quick thousand dollars on some puppies only to find they may not be able to sell them all. So off to the pound they go.
It is mathematically impossible for there to be NO DOGS in the U.S. in 10 years. Private, responsible breeders will still be allowed to breed their dogs from time to time. That isn't going to change. Pet owners who don't spay and neuter will continue to allow their animals to breed unchecked. That isn't going to change.
This person...and I use that term very loosely... also claims we will be forced to import dogs from other countries. That brings to light the issue of unchecked reproduction of dogs in poorer countries as well as the breeding for profit overseas. Dogs are ALREADY being shipped to the U.S. by breeders outside the country. The Humane Society of the United States last year convinced Congress to ban foreign puppy mill imports. But that doesn't affect private breeders abroad. We have no control over their guidelines for establishing if someone is a puppy mill or private breeder.
Please don't think for a moment there is any truth or validity to this notion that dogs will become extinct in the US if we shut down ALL commercial/for profit breeders. Remember the comment made was driven soley by greed, the author is someone who profits from the abuse of innocent animals. This comment is the equivalent of saying it's okay to rape women to impregnate them because there aren't enough men and women to fill our military ranks because they are dying too fast in Iraq.
My final thought on this is: Even if it were possible to be dogless in the U.S. in 10 years, I'm in favor of that if it means the stop of animal abuse and neglect.
If you have been following the story of Renee Roske's Wags and Wiggles puppy mill operation, you have seen for yourself just how seedy and corrupt the commercial breeding industry is. They are shockingly similar to mafia gangsters or drug dealers. It's all about money. Life is meaningless to them.
In February the HSUS raided yet another puppy mill. This time in North Carolina where there are no puppy mill laws. I dare you to watch this video and try to tell yourself there is ANY just reason to allow this level of abuse to continue in our world.
And 'Simone'... you can go fuck yourself, you low life piece of garbage.
